When back pain becomes a pain in the neck: What can “frequent sitters” do about back pain?
“I have such bad back pain…” – our Doctor Katharina Abbing hears this on a daily basis in her practice and it is really like this: back pain is a widespread disease and the reason number 1 for disability leave. The most frequent cause: bad posture in seated position. But what can we do when our job has us sitting all the time? This is what the situation actually is for many bus drivers of the “Vestisch,” the public transport corporation of Herten. When you feel a twitch in your heel: What can you do against pain in your hamstring?
Strong and weak at the same time: the Achilles tendon. While it is the strongest tendon in our body, it is simultaneously the body’s most vulnerable spot if it gets inflamed.
